'Tommy' is now back with its new fuel pump, and tried out driving with the trailer and car, seems to work OK....
Noodle has been speyed... poor thing but she seems to be ok and doesn't look like she has had anything done at all. We decided better that than spanish dogs hanging around when she goes into season.
Starting to say our goodbyes which feels really strange, although we will be back... at some point???????
Taunton here we come.. on thursday

its getting close!!
The time is getting closer for us to start our journey... a little scared but in a nice way. A little bit of a panic is happening at the moment as we have had to order a new fuel pump for 'Tommy' from America it will be here next week we hope. I seem to live in hope where Tommy is concerned. I still keep threatening to get a caravan hoping that will do the trick, not sure who is winning the battle.
Noodle now has her passport and I think we have decided to have her spayed before we go, she doesn't want to be bothered by all those Spanish males eh! Not looking forward to her having to go in a kennel for the journey across the sea, but hey ho she is young and I am sure she will get over it. It will probably be myself and Robert that are the most concerned. I think she will face it in her usual manner of 'oh well I will go to sleep'.
We get the trailer tomorrow, we can then practice putting the car and extra luggage onto it, and seeing what else we must get rid of..... (not my craft stuff!)
Reading Spanish books as much as possible now to at least get some of the basics, I hope it will get easier when I get there.
Now in the last session of being in plaster cant wait for it to come off, getting miffed with it now, and feeling the restrictions it causes me, can't drive, can't just go to the shops, etc. etc...
This weekend we start visiting people to say our cheerios, Alan and Rachel (my brother and his wife) being the first on Sunday. sad and happy all at the same time, weird.
Will try to report a bit more often. Bye for now xx

The planning begins!
The planning has started. We have ordered a trailer to be made so that we can take our Rav 4 towed on the back of 'Tommy'. Noodle has had all her jabs and is now waiting for her passport!!, she came home from the vet after her blood test with a pink bandage on her arm, aaahhhh.....
And we have now booked the ferry..... Dec 19th we will be in Spain for Xmas, cant wait but am also quite scared!! But hey ho life is for the living and I cant stand still, I like an adventure.

The excitement begins!!!
Hi all that are interested.
We have now moved into our motorhome and are in the process of clearing the flat ready for tenants to move into, we have found some suitable people who would like to rent it, even though they are smokers!!!! hopefully they will not make the flat smell too much.....but they have agreed a rent and are ready to go.
The business is in the process of being sold and we are preparing for travel!! we are taking our gap year, a little later in life you might say... but I say its never too late, till you cant do it. so I am racing against time.. we are taking our motorhome (called Tommy) on a trip around europe, and I am setting this blog up so that friends can see where we are, and what we are doing...The things I want them to know anyway...
We are at present at a lovely site just outside Ilfracombe called Napps and we are learning how to live in a smallish area although Tommy is 27ft long and 8ft wide, and we have a safari room attached to the awning which gives us another 12ft x 6ft when we are sited. We have sold most of the furniture and our belongings, most of it was clutter anyway, and the money has gone into our Tommy fund, cause it is not cheap to run.
Before we go anywhere though I am having an operation on my painful and dodgy ankle, which will ground me for 12 weeks, boring, but I have managed to keep most of my craft stuff! so that I can keep busy, dont like being bored...
Well thats the 'big plan' will report more as time goes on....
